He sighed and moved his lips to her temple, kissing the delicate skin there and inhaling her scent: “And I you, Ellyn. Do not forget that…I’ve missed you so much.”
She shivered and wrapped her arms around him, clinging to him more. “Gods above, I missed you, Monty! It’s been too long, these long months….I missed you so much!” Sniffles and starts crying a bit against his chest.
He cooed, one hand move to the small of her back and rubbed it there while still peppering her with his soft kisses: “Sssh, no more tears. I am back and now as robust as a horse, yeh? Nothing else matter, my dear Ellyn.”
She gasped out a soft giggle and shook her head a little. “I’m trying not to cry, you know. It’s not from being sad, really. I’m just so glad that you’re here when i am for once….And you’re right, all that matters is that we are together again, right?”
